MicroSky Usermanual and Screenshots - MicroSky-Chart Settings

 
Define your individual MicroSky-Chart with the various settings such as Chart, Zoom, Star Mag Change, Location ... .
If you connect a serial GPS device (NMEA), you can receive the location data into the MicroSky location and use it for your MicroSky-Chart. You can change more than one setting at once. Most of these settings are persistently stored on the server and will survive restarts.

Chart:

1.2: Here you find a subset of settings, which can be switched on/off. Change any settings for the MicroSky-Chart and confirm your changes with 'OK'

Zoom:

2.2: Here you can select the factor for changing the zoom for the next MicroSky-Chart. 'Keep current' does no zoom, 'Reset' will set the zoom back to MicroSky default value.

Star Mag Change:

3.2: Here you can lessen or increase the (visible) brightness of stars for the current MicroSky-Chart. Each star will be adapted to the selected brightness. When kept on zero, then the star magnitude change will automatically adapt to the zoom factor.

Object Mag Limit:

4.2: You can here limit the number of drawn objects for the current MicroSky-Chart to the selected brightness.

Grey Scale Quality:

5.2: Here you can adapt the grey Scale Quality. With higher Quality the Byte Size of the MicroSky-Chart gets larger, but shows more details. Set it to the lowest value, where you can still see the difference in quality.

Hours Later:

6.2: Here you can add up to 24 hours to the current time of your selected location for your MicroSky-Chart.

Gps -> My MobileLocation:

7.2: Here you can receive data from your connected GPS. Be sure to have your right GPS port and baudrate in MicroSky-MainMenu MainSettings filled before. Switch the GPS interface to NMEA-Format and connect the GPS device to your mobile phone or PDA. With Option 'GetGPS' you can start the data transfer from GPS to MicroSky. The received data will be stored in 'My MobileLocation' and this location will be used as the actual location for your MicroSky-Chart. The received location longitude and latitude - are displayed. Don't forget to adapt the timezone in 'My Mobile Location', if you moved to another timezone.

8.2: Here you can edit your current latitude and longitude - don't forget to choose the right direction for them with option +/-. Select your current timezone and choose option 'Use as current', if 'My Mobile Location' is not selected as used location yet.

9.2: Select here your actual location for your MicroSky-Chart. You can choose one of your pre-defined mobile locations. Additional you can choose your 'My Mobile Location', if you have defined it once before (manual or per GPS transfer).
You can maintain your set of pre-defined mobile Locations at the Internet-Server-Application SkyServer.

Use Eyepiece:

10.1: select 'Use Eyepiece' from Settings list
10.2: Select here your actual eyepiece for your MicroSky-Chart. You can choose one of the first 5 of your eyepieces. If you have defined your individual eyepieces, then these will be shown at the beginning of the list.
You can maintain your individual eyepieces at the Internet-Server-Application SkyServer.

Use Color Scheme:

11.1: select 'Use Color Scheme' from Settings list
11.2: Select here the color scheme for your MicroSky-Chart. 'Keep current' does no color scheme change. Choose between the color schemes 'Daylight', 'Nightlight' or 'Daylight II'. 'Daylight II' is a good choice for greyscale mobile devices.
If you like to choose other color combinations for your MicroSky-Chart you can change them in your Skyimage 'Mobile_1' at the Internet-Server-Application SkyServer.
